LTC Shaffer addressed if this is an #American fight or are we even ready for it? He discussed how the approach by the #Biden administration distracts from the issues the administration has to face but does not want to meet.
LTC Shaffer addressed the current #usmilitary possible limitations in its ability to support #NATO in both #hybridwarfare or #totalwar scenarios. He discussed the problems associated with the tactical commitment to deploy the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army Airborne Light Infantry to face Russian heavy #Armor in defense of NATO partners after Russia begins its attack, possibly in mid-February.
LTC Shaffer and I agreed that the political advisors to the #POTUS have failed to understand that Russia’s #strategic #deterrence would have required, at a minimum, a U.S.com/NATO heavy armor presence in Ukraine as soon as #Russiabegan its force buildup.
LTC Shaffer recommended that strategic deterrence may still be achievable if the administration immediately deploys U.S. military, specifically Armor units, into the #balticstates.
LTC Shaffer, LTC Shaffer, a pioneer in #Cyber #operations, discussed how the current Information Operations #IO campaign launched by the administration does not affect the Russian planning and decision-making process and fails to understand why and how #Putin is expanding the Russian sphere of influence.
LTC LTC Shaffer described in plain terms how Russia is conducting its #fivedimensional warfare against the U.S. and provided simple and achievable objectives to counter Russia in #POLMIL terms allowing a possibility to achieve victory for the U.S.
Finally, LTC Shaffer also pointed out that the U.S. should begin unifying our natural #allies globally in #Asia and SE Asia to counter the #CCP and Russia over the long run.
